Root Canal Treatment Procedure

The primary goal of root canal treatment is to create an environment within the root canal system which allows for healing and continued maintenance of the health of periradicular tissue. A successful root canal treatment procedure is one which has removed bacteria in the tooth and completely filled the canals.

  • Removal of damaged pulp: Your thailand dentist makes a canal in the crown of the tooth that allows for removal of the damaged pulp.
  • Clean canal : After removal of the damaged pulp, your thailand dentist cleans the canal and shapes it to a feasible form for filling. In some cases the thailand endodontist may choose to use medications for preventing infection by removing germs from the teeth.
  • Fill root canal : after the canal is cleaned and cleared, the root canal and pulp chamber is filed up with temporary fillings for monitoring. In certain cases, the permanent restoration may be started immediately after the tooth root is cleared.
  • Post, core buildup and crown : After root canal trreatment is complete, tooth becomes fragile as the tooth root is no longer alive. A post and crown is then capped over the tooth to strengthen and protect the tooth as a permanent restoration.
  • Final result: Proper oral care and regular dental visits ensure that the treated tooth remains healthy.
